Please help get justice for my beautiful son Euan so he can finally rest in peace and have justice and the Police Investigation he  absolutely deserves and I as Euan’s mother was promised he would have. 
Euan passed away on the 1st September 2020 aged 18 years. Euan was my absolute hero, my Sunshine on a bad day. 

Police have now done 2 investigations, admitted many errors, made broken promises and jumped to conclusions presuming my son had taken his own life completely dismissing there own ABC rule!

Assume Nothing. Believe Nobody. Check everything!!

So many mistakes and missing opportunities. I’ll never forgive the investigating officers I’ll never get that evidence back!l

Police dismissed any other possibility despite his death having unusual circumstances and failure to take CCTV on my home which Police were aware of. Despite the investigations and promises of visiting the scene not one officer has been out to see it ( how can you do a thorough investigation without seeing where it happened) devastated me. 

Police also altered the scene before photographing resulting in valuable evidence being lost and not a true reflection of that morning. 

I have since been told from the second investigation that my son ‘DID NOT’ take his own life which has left me with so many questions I still don’t have the answers to. 

Although errors were admitted to I’m still waiting for the wrong doings to be made right and my questions to be answered. If it wasn’t suicide which we all knew what does that leave me with ……..

Its been 21 agonising months and Euans death has seriously affected his 3 siblings to. 

The law needs to change.

Parents/carers of a loved one should be provided with a support system ( I was never given a Liason officer to help me). someone to assist and guide you to get much needed help and answers especially through traumatic times when it’s hard enough just to get out of bed. 

Procedures are there to follow and failure to do so should have serious consequences.  I was told the officers involved in the failings could do more training snd learn from mistakes for future cases ( MY SON IS NOT A LEARNING TOOL) my son is my world but no longer has a future or dreams to fulfil, not going to get to be a father, married , house it’s been taken from him. Multiple failings means I may never get closure which I can’t begin to think about. 

To lose a child is the worst possible pain any parent could go through and to lose a child and never no why or what happened is unbearable. 

Please sign so my son gets the Investigation I was promised and that he deserves. Peace he desperately needs to be enable him to be free.

I don’t want any other family going through  the hell and torture we’ve endured these last 21 months. I want a “Euans Law” treating all suspicious deaths as murder until proven otherwise then nothing gets missed and and parents/carers loved ones have answers they desperately need.
