Justice for My Sister: End Mental Harassment of Teachers in Schools

The Issue

I write this petition with a heart full of grief and helplessness.

My sister, a committed and compassionate schoolteacher, recently took her own life after enduring continuous mental harassment and humiliation at the hands of her school staff. She had joined the Primary School in Village Manakpur, Tehsil Nangal, District Ropar only two months ago. In that short time, she was repeatedly insulted, humiliated publicly during morning assemblies, and mentally broken by the toxic environment created by her colleagues and superiors.

She loved teaching and was passionate about serving children. But the culture of disrespect, bullying, and emotional abuse within the school left her with no support, no dignity, and ultimately, no will to live.

Her tragic death is not just a personal loss — it is a wake-up call.

Through this petition, I urge the authorities and the public:

To demand a fair and transparent investigation into her case

To hold the school staff accountable for their role in her mental harassment
To implement strong safeguards for teachers facing workplace abuse
To create mechanisms for grievance redressal, mental health support, and protection from institutional bullying

Teachers are the backbone of our education system. They deserve dignity, respect, and a safe working environment — not cruelty from within the very system they serve.

Please sign this petition to support our call for justice — not only for my sister but for every teacher silently enduring workplace harassment.

Let her voice echo. Let it spark change.
