The sentencing hearing for Mikah Johnson is Friday, November 4 at 8:30 AM Mountain Time. The hearing is at 450 South State Street, Salt Lake City, Utah, at the Matheson Courthouse. Court hearings can last from 45 minutes to 5 hours or longer. Day-long parking is located behind the courthouse off of West Temple for $5, payable by credit card only. The hearing will be on the 4th floor of the courthouse in Room W-43 or S-41. The Honorable Judge Katherine Bernards-Goodman is presiding. Please dress respectfully and wear all black in remembrance of Moose. A representative will be there to hand out red ribbons to wear over your heart for Moose. You cannot have any visible photos of Moose in the court room or you may be removed. Sit on the opposite side of the courtroom as Johnson in the back rows. Please do not speak in the courtroom to anyone. Turn your cell phones off. Do not confront Johnson, his family, or friends in or outside of court. If you are confronted please do not engage with them; be polite, take the high road, and just walk away. If you do not follow these guidelines you could be removed and/or held in contempt of court and would also tarnish the image of animal advocates everywhere.
