Justice for Moose
Mar 11, 2016
Here is the link to the ABC 4 News Utah story: http://www.good4utah.com/news/local-news/man-accused-of-beating-torturing-puppy-to-death-back-in-jail Mikah Johnson violated the conditions of his bail by hanging around Green River High School. A brave student reported him. That is why he was taken into custody at todays' arraignment (where he was going to enter his plea of not guilty). A big thank you that student, Green River Police, Salt Lake District Attorney's Office, ABC 4 News Utah, and the supporters who attended today's hearing. The court hearing on Monday, March 14, is to determine if Johnson will remain in custody or not. His defense lawyers will argue that he should be released again while the prosecution will argue for him to remain in jail until the trial is over. Johnson may or may not enter his plea on Monday. The hearing will be at Matheson Court House, 450 South State Street, Salt Lake City, UT, Room W-43 (but may be moved to S-41 which is also on the 4th floor). The hearing will be at 2 PM Mountain Time but the judge has to hear a lot of cases so it may be an hour before Johnson comes before Judge Katie Bernards-Goodman. Please wear all black in remembrance of Moose. We are trying to sit on the right side of the court room in the back row but sometimes it is pretty crowded. Remember to turn your cell phones off and do not speak to anyone in court, and please do not confront anyone outside of court. If confronted yourself just take the high road and walk away. We will rest well this weekend knowing Mikah Johnson is behind bars where he belongs. Slowly but surely we are getting justice for Moose!
