We are seeking justice for Miguel Mondragon  who was tragically murdered on 08/03/2025.
Since his death, our family has experienced not only deep grief, but deep injustice. 

Five individuals were arrested in connection to my father’s murder:
* Alejandro Hurtado-Reyes
* Yanaris Reyes
* Yurisander Góngora Rojas
* Antonio González
* Héctor Yohany Batlle

Despite these arrests, justice is slipping away. The Travis County judges are setting low bonds, allowing these individuals to be released back into the community. The Travis County District Attorney has already dropped one charge against Alejandro Hurtado-Reyes, and these decisions do not protect the public — they put us in even more danger. These individuals are being given the freedom to walk the streets while we continue to grieve and live in fear.

We are heartbroken, angry, and confused. How can justice be denied when arrests have been made? What message does this send to our family — or to our community?
My father life was violently taken from us, and now the system that promised justice is turning its back.
We are calling on the District Attorney’s Office of Travis County and all responsible parties to:
- Stop all efforts to drop charges in this case
- Fully prosecute all five individuals to the fullest extent of the law
- Acknowledge and act on the threat these individuals pose to our community
- Treat this case with the seriousness it deserves

Our family is devastated. But this isn’t just about us. After sharing our story, others in the community came forward, saying they, too, had been harmed or threatened by these same individuals. This is not just one case — it is part of a wider pattern of violence and fear that continues to grow while those responsible are being let go and given a chance to keep harming more .

Exigimos justicia para Miguel Mondragón, quien fue trágicamente asesinado el 8/3/2025.
Desde su muerte, nuestra familia ha experimentado no solo un profundo dolor, sino también una profunda injusticia.

Cinco personas fueron arrestadas en relación con el asesinato de mi padre:

A pesar de estos arrestos, la justicia se está desvaneciendo. Los jueces del Condado de Travis están otorgando fianzas bajas, lo que permite que estas personas sean liberadas y reincorporadas a la comunidad. El Fiscal de Distrito del Condado de Travis ya retiró un cargo contra Alejandro Hurtado Reyes. Estas decisiones no protegen al público; nos ponen en mayor peligro. A estas personas se les está dando la libertad de caminar por las calles mientras nosotros seguimos sufriendo y viviendo con miedo.

Estamos desconsolados, enojados y confundidos. ¿Cómo se puede negar la justicia cuando se han realizado arrestos? ¿Qué mensaje transmite esto a nuestra familia o a nuestra comunidad?
La vida de mi padre nos fue arrebatada violentamente, y ahora el sistema que prometió justicia nos da la espalda.
Exigimos a la Fiscalía del Condado de Travis y a todas las partes responsables que:
- Detener todos los esfuerzos para retirar los cargos en este caso.
- Procesar a las cinco personas con todo el peso de la ley.
- Reconocer y actuar ante la amenaza que estas personas representan para nuestra comunidad.
- Tratar este caso con la seriedad que merece.

Nuestra familia está devastada. Pero no se trata solo de nosotros. Tras compartir nuestra historia, otras personas de la comunidad se manifestaron y dijeron que también habían sido perjudicadas o amenazadas por estas mismas personas. Este no es solo un caso; forma parte de un patrón más amplio de violencia y miedo que sigue creciendo mientras los responsables son liberados y se les da la oportunidad de seguir causando más daño.
