🐾 Justice for Lucky – The Laxmi Nagar Dog Brutally Killed by a Delhi Police Constable 🐾

We are writing this petition to demand immediate action and accountability in the heartbreaking case of Lucky, the Laxmi Nagar dog, who lost his life after being brutally beaten by a serving police officer.

The accused, Delhi Head Constable Om Vir, mercilessly beat Lucky with a stick and other objects. A video of this cruel act surfaced, after which we immediately contacted the reporter and began preparing all the necessary documents to submit at the police station.

Shockingly, instead of swift justice, we were later informed that a “compromise” was forced between the accused and the reporter. To make matters worse, the reporter and her family were threatened again by Om Vir, creating a climate of fear and silence.

On the morning of 26th August 2025, we received the most devastating update: Lucky has passed away due to the injuries and suffering inflicted on him. 💔

This is not just about one dog — this is about justice, accountability, and ensuring that those entrusted with protecting the law do not abuse their power to harm the voiceless.

Our Demands:

Immediate registration of an FIR under Sections 62, 325, and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 and Section 11(1)(a) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PCA) Act, 1960.
Immediate suspension and disciplinary action against Head Constable Om Vir.
Witness protection for the reporter and her family, who are facing threats.
A thorough, impartial, and transparent investigation into this case.
Strong legal precedent so that no one — not even those in uniform — can escape justice for animal cruelty.
