Please consider signing this petition so that the grounds of the former Edmonton Indian Residential School grounds can be searched for unmarked graves. 

The process has been delayed over land disputes between the Alberta government, the Poundmakers Lodge Treatment Centre, and the Nechi Institute- a small private college that trains addictions counsellors. Four structures on the property that are being used by the Nechi Institute would need to be removed before archeologists are able to start their work- but the institute has no plans to move until the province finds it a new home.

Time to pressure the government to prioritize the search of this sacred burial grounds so that the last remaining school survivors- many who are in their 80s can have justice.
