15,000 STRONG — and we will not be silenced. What we know — and what they are trying to bury.

I have just one simple question for the government: You claim that police fired in self-defense. Then tell me — what weapons did those protestors carry? Did they have rods, swords, or guns in their hands that threatened the lives of police officials? Why shot down 4 innocent civilians including Kargil war hero Tsewang Tharchin. ?

Even if the crowd went out of control, there were countless other measures available — tear gas, lathi charge, water cannons, barricades — just as you used when farmers entered Delhi. Then what was the justification behind open firing on our own civilians? Such orders are given against terrorists, mafias, or dangerous criminals — not against students, farmers, and ordinary citizens protesting for their rights.

Under CrPC Sections 129–132, police officials are allowed to disperse an unlawful assembly by using minimum force necessary. Nowhere in Indian law is it written that police are authorized to shoot civilians simply because a protest got out of control. And even if you argue that BJP’s office was set on fire, there were CCTV cameras all around. The culprits could have been identified, arrested, and presented before the court or district magistrate. Instead, what did our police do?

This is not law and order — this is murder under the shadow of authority. And Six days have passed, in a real democracy, government officials would have shivered till yet by emerging voices for this heinous injustice, but instead of questioning this crime, mainstream media and the ADGP of Ladakh shamelessly blamed Sonam Wangchuk, alleging his foreign connections for inciting the riots, as if he was the one who pulled the trigger. What nonsense! How blind, how senseless must one be to believe such manufactured lies?

I want to make it clear being a student, Neither I belong to any political party or Ideology nor I am blaming one of them. The only thing I stand for is rational and democratic thinking. And today I urge every citizen — no matter what party or ideology you support — to stand up for the four innocent civilians who were shot dead in Ladakh on 24th September 2025.

How you can help —

  • Share the petition: https://www.change.org/free-sonam-wangchuk — every share wakes someone up.
  • Join me on X(@JhaSuman49187) in Tagging journalists, editors and public figures — demand corrections, ask: “Where is the inquiry? Who ordered the firing?”
  • Flood social media with facts and Sonam’s work — ice-stupas, schools, and decades of service. Use: #ReleaseSonamWangchuk #JusticeForLadakh #TruthOverPropaganda
  • Boycott the biased mainstream media channels #BoycottYellowJournalism

The real culprit is the one who gave the command to fire on civilians. Find out who gave the order to shoot. That is the real traitor of our nation. And I promise — until my last breath, I will never forget this injustice, nor forgive those who tried to bury it with misinformation and lies.
