The Issue

On July 31st, 2025, the user account of Kikyo851 was deleted by Quotev moderators, along with her backup accounts, starflame (lavendersky) and misamisa851 (kikyobackup). Kikyo has been targeted by the moderators for a very long time, with notifications for her stories’ updates ‘mistakenly’ not being given, her stories disappearing from readers’ libraries, and direct messages from the moderators saying that she should stop talking about it or risk deletion. But this crosses the line.

Kikyo851 is an amazing author and removing her account has greatly impacted hundreds of thousands of readers. She’s written for many fandoms — My Hero Academia, Jujitsu Kaisen, K-Pop Demon Hunters — but she’s also written original stories. Her top stories have millions of hearts and reads — that’s millions of people who are losing access to a piece of art for absolutely no reason. The Quotev mods have been on a power trip when it comes to her for a while, but it needs to stop because this is way too far. Her Quotev-exclusive stories are gone for good; while some were present on other platforms, the ones that were only on Quotev are completely gone now. If her accounts are not restored, we will never see these works of art again.

I know I am not the only person who feels this way. I am one of the more diehard fans, but there are hundreds, thousands, maybe even millions more heartbroken fans like me who want this changed. We want — no, we NEED this unjustly cruel decision reversed and our favorite author’s works returned.

Quotev has taken a lot from us — our messages, our chat groups, our shared activity feeds. It’s time they started giving us something back. Bring back Kikyo851, and maybe we won’t abandon the site in another mass exodus.

JUSTICE FOR KIKYO851. And in her honor, let’s have ‘Takedown’ from KPDH as our war cry.
