It has been three months since I last updated this petition and much has happened since then. January 5, 2017 Today I have sent a letter to State Attorney Jack Campbell in Tallahassee requesting the release of Eric Stayton as he killed his sister the same way Dehayes killed my daughter and grandson but he was prosecuted and got 3 years jail 7 years probation and over 5k in court costs. If it is not a crime in Hernando then it should not be a crime anywhere else in the state as this shows favoritism and corruption Here is a copy of the letter I sent to Jack Campbell and a letter I sent to Peter Magrino and Brad King as they have not respond from last month's letter and evidence of the drugs Dehayes was on when he killed my daughter and grandson. Dear Jack Campbell congratulations on your win for state attorney I would like to talk to you about the Eric Stayton case as this is a plea from me asking you release Mr. Stayton from prison for the killing of his sister through accidental killing with a gun I feel if my daughter and grandson killer William Dehayes has not been prosecuted for doing the same thing with the exception Mr. Dehayes was on Narcotics at the time of the killing then the law should be applied for all citizens, not the select few. I have had many former prosecuting attorneys review my daughters case and all said he should be charged with two counts of manslaughter and he wasn't even detained, arrested or prosecuted.proper police procedure was not followed and Mr. Dehayes had a close friend who worked in the sheriff's office which was never investigated either and I can tell you that reviewing Mr. Stayton's reactions he has extreme remorse for killing his sister while my daughter's killer never even apologize went out after getting a free pass and started shooting gain with a child present. Now we all know there are many problems with Brad King's district's and prosecutions however by not releasing Mr. Stayton for committing the same crime as Dehayes did and Dehayes was not prosecuted, arrested or detain it actually shows corruption in this state cause where it is a crime in Tallahassee our state capitol it is not a crime in Brad King's districts Hernando, Citrus etc it shows favoritism to cops, for example, another case of Brad Kings the very publicized case of Michelle O'Connell the woman killed by the cop Jeremy Banks who is now a politician. I am pleading with you to release Eric Stayton as he has committed no crime just because someone died because of his actions whether drunk, sober or on drugs, it is not a crime. If people can get away with it in other counties then it should be the law for all the state. I will be filing motions myself but I also wanted to let you know that I have contacted State Attorney Jack Campbell and am getting people together to protest the sentence and jailing of Eric Stayton the man in Tallahassee who was convicted of killing his sister in the same way Dehayes killed my daughter and grandson. Yes,we all know cops stick together even if they are no longer cops but then being you and Brad were former cops you should know proper police procedure. I am not going away and I will keep fighting this. You can threaten me all you want my daughter and grandson are the victims and you are suppose to be the voice of the victims not the advocate for the criminals. Yes, Peter I am extremely angry with you cause I have reviewed your cases and you have the makings of a fine prosecutor. You have made cases with less than the evidence you have on this case. I have also been in contact with other victims who have not gotten justice and we made sure to contact the nominating committee. February 2, 2017 Update: I received an email from my son in law's lawyer Greg King not sure if he is related to Brad King as Brad King also has brothers. Carson won his lawsuit of 3 million dollars and Dehayes was in court and said he was going to file Bankruptcy so Carson nor Nicky will ever see that money. I never cared about the money but it was so important to Carson. I wanted the guy locked up for manslaughter times 2 which would have given him a lifetime in prison to reflect on his actions of playing with guns and being on Narcotics especially with children around. I am still trying to fight this but Peter Magrino and Brad King both ignore me along with all the politicians, Law enforcement and Governor I am discouraged and of course Katherine's birthday is Feb 18th which makes it even harder. I finally believe it pays to be a criminal especially in Hernando ,Lake, Sumtner, Marion and Citrus Counties and the cops in these counties have no fear cause Brad King and Peter Magrino who were both former cops protect them. February 26, 2017 I am posting this with a heavy heart my daughter's husband swore he would never marry again after Kat was killed and guess what he did - got married 1/14/17 to a Rebecca Yvonne Soto - No wonder why he threw everything of Kat's out instead of giving them to her only child so he would have memories of his mother and possibly his brother Rehlin. People say I shouldn't think he had anything to do with my daughters killing. I am so glad his life has gone on cause my life has not and can not. Carson Hoover I fucking hate you and I blame you for her death. March 16, 2017 Just got off phone with Brad King he actually called me back -- as you know Dehayes birthday is in 2 days I told him the civil case was over and Carson won the suit that he could use the civil case to prosecute Dehayes and as it turns out the civil lawyer is his brother Greg King that's who my son in law used as an attorney. Brad King said he never read any of the stuff I sent him and the case was closed he will not issue subpoenas to obtain evidence and he is sure his brother Greg did not get any additional evidence to bring prosecution He will do nothing with the case I asked him to get Eric Stayton out of jail as he did the same thing and he was prosecuted by Jack Campbell and Brad said he will not get involved cause that's not his case but the point is how come its illegal in Tallahassee but not Hernando? Please keep in mind that my son in law Carson did not want the case prosecuted and refused to help get justice for his wife and son. He apparently only wanted money and won his lawsuit with the help of Brad King's brother Greg. Brad King is the same man I have been fighting with to prosecute. Now I know why Greg King wouldn't talk to me or answer my questions that I had to get a friend of mine who is an attorney contact him for information. I asked Brad King if he had read the private investigators report or the report of the interactions of the medications Dehayes was on and he said No he hasn't read anything I have sent him. I said this is additional information cause he said if I had additional information to turn it over. What good is it to send it if neither one of them reads it? I also asked isnt the prosecutor the one who is suppose to obtain evidence to prosecute so why wasn't the subpoena issued to obtain the blood results for when they sent Dehayes to the hospital. He said he explained that which he did not his letter said if drugs were a factor it would change the situation. The Killer admitted he took all these drugs prior to killing her.
