Below I have listed links to audio recordings of my conversations with various players in the bogus investigation of the murder of my son Jowell Travis Le Gendre. Jowell was sentenced to 33 years for a crime these people KNEW he did not commit. The father/ step father of my son's false accuser is Washington DC Attorney Steven Jon Gaba.
VADOC Employees, Guards, Officers and Administrators tortured and abused Jowell the last 5 years of his life while he fought this wrongful conviction. Jowell published the "Truth, Yet I'm Not Free" in December 2021. This autobiography gives trial details naming all involved parties while highlighting the corruption that ensued. He intentionally allowed the price of the book to remain free for Kindle Unlimited Members in order to spread awareness.
His hope was that those who served on the jury during his trial would read the book and come forward identifying all who engaged in witness tampering. This book was recategorized as a Government Textbook in August 2023. Within days Jowell was murdered. The book was then picked up by Barns & Noble the week of Jowell's murder. I never got the chance to share this with him!

Red Onion State Prison Assistant Warden Dewayne Turner Advises of my son's death. He blatantly states he saw Jowell and there was no evidence of a fight. I then contacted the Roanoke Medical Examiner's Office @9:20am and was advised that my son's autopsy was scheduled for later that day.

Roanoke Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Amy Marie Tharp advising autopsy was complete. She states there was nothing evident to the naked eye that would suggest Jowell's cause of death.

VADOC Special Investigation Agent Rachel Townsend advising that her investigation was over and she needed to wrap up her report. She admits she NEVER viewed my son's body and corroborated with the Roanoke Medical Examiner's Office and Red Onion State Prison Officials to obtain information for her investigation.

Wise County Assistant Commonwealth Attorney Ashley Belcher advises that she spoke with Special Agent Townsend and was told there was no evidence of murder, instructed me to provide the names of guards Jowell had altercations with promising to pass the information along to Special Agent Townsend so that the information could be investigated.

Wise County Assistant Commonwealth Attorney Ashley Belcher advises that the autopsy report determined my son's death was due to homicide and promises to contact me once she receives the report to go over the findings with me.

Wise County Commonwealth Attorney Victim Services Director Allison advises that the cellmate, Julian Leon Mitchell, who was placed in my son's cell 30 minutes prior to that VADOC Press Release time of 2:37pm, had been charged with Aggravated Murder by Manual Strangulation and they were trying to get a May date to have him indicted by a Grand Jury.
