First and foremost, I would like to thank everybody who has taken the time to read this petition, and sign it and even further send donations. Jahmari Rice was the first student to be murdered at school in Minnesota. This concretely affects the students, the teachers, the community and I. There are already offerings located where Jahmari was murdered and has been since he was taken from us . we’re urging the community to stand with us, and remembering the life and Legacy of Jahmari Rice, by placing a memorial bench, will clean up where their offerings are already at. The bench will symbolize peace, love and strength.

 

 This means a lot to us as far as remembering his life, but not forgetting what took place. Reminding the students and the people in the community. How important it is to keep our kids safe. Jahmari Rice would not be forgotten about. If we are able to come together and place this memorial bench where Jahmari's life was taken, we will be symbolizing unity, love and respect for one another, especially our kids . If we do not create this special space(ground zero) then I’m afraid my son's life and legacy will be forgotten about.

 With that being said, it is very important I can’t stress it enough how much this will mean to us as a whole as a Collective as a community. The Richfield football team still honors Jahmari’s number 53 at all football games and the kids have not forgotten what took place at school. Let's give them a place where they can think and reflect on life while bettering themselves and honoring Jahmari Rice. we need immediate action we demand nothing less but actionable items all power to the people #Our kids deserve justice.
