🔹 Speak up for every injured officer who can’t.

A senior constable has been rushed to hospital after two offenders rammed a police vehicle in Sandhurst this week.

Their police car was crushed against a garage, a wall collapsed, and one officer was thrown to the road.

They are the latest in a long line of Victoria Police members injured in the line of duty.

And yet, if their injuries leave them unable to return to work, they face a legal system that tells them they are not employees of the State.

That means no recognised duty of care. No right to sue for negligence. No justice!

💔 The system is failing those who protect us

While these officers recover, the Allan Government remains silent.

Court decisions have confirmed the State owes no duty of care to sworn police officers. This is a betrayal  not just of our frontline members, but of every Victorian who believes in fairness and decency.

Every day this loophole stays open, more officers suffer in silence — forced into poverty, legal limbo, and untreated trauma.

Our police deserve better. They are workers. They are human. And they have earned our protection.

🛑 Enough is enough

If a police officer can be hospitalised protecting our homes at 1 a.m., then told by the State that they are not an “employee” when they’re injured — something is deeply broken.

Premier Jacinta Allan, Deputy Premier Ben Carroll, and the Victorian Government must close this loophole now.

Not next month. Not after another tragedy. Now.

✊ We need your voice

This petition has already gathered over 3,600 verified signatures — but it will take thousands more to break the silence.

They run toward danger for us.

It’s time we stand up for them
