Return Anne Sacoolas to the UK

The Issue

US citizen Anne Sacoolas was involved in a road traffic collision on 27th August 2019 outside RAF Croughton, a United States Air Force communications station in Northhamptonshire, which resulted in the death of Harry Dunn, a 19 year old motorcyclist from Branbury.

Motorcyclists feel that all too often, deaths and injuries caused to them in road traffic collisions are not taken seriously enough. I believe that seeming to hide behind her diplomatic immunity is  insulting to Harry, his family and the UK apart from being an abuse of the diplomatic immunity system and an utterly arrogant and shameful act.

Anne Sacoolas, as a parent, should understand the grief and pain of Harry's parents and their need for justice and the truth of how their son died. She can help them by cooperating with UK police, preferably voluntarily but forcibly if necessary by removal of her diplomatic immunity and extradition to the UK.

I urge the UK and US governments to acknowledge the human side of this tragedy and compel Anne Sacoolas to return to the UK and engage with our justice system.
