214 Voices Standing With Jaquai — His Story Will Be Heard 💙 Dear Supporters, Today, I’m sharing something incredibly difficult for me to share a video from Jaquai’s funeral. As his mother, there are moments when words simply aren’t enough. Watching this video brings back the painful reality that my son is no longer here with us. But I want people to remember that Jaquai was more than what happened to him. He was my son. He was loved. He had a life, a personality, dreams, and people who loved him deeply. I don’t want his memory reduced to a case number or a headline. I want people to remember Jaquai as a human being whose life mattered. We have now reached 214 signatures, surpassing our original goal of 200. Every one of those signatures represents someone who chose to stand with Jaquai and with our family. Things are moving behind the scenes. I may not be able to share every detail right now, but please know that every voice standing with Jaquai is helping us move toward the ultimate goal: justice. Especially when powerful entities appear to believe they can avoid accountability, we cannot allow silence to become the end of the story. When everything else has been taken away, accountability and justice are what remain. Jaquai deserves justice for what happened to him. Silence can create an opportunity for injustice to go unanswered. I refuse to let silence become the reason my son’s story is forgotten. And let me be clear about who my son was: Jaquai was not an opportunist. He was not someone who took advantage of people or used others for his own benefit. He was a human being who deserved dignity, respect, and humanity. Justice can come in many forms. I don’t know exactly what that journey will ultimately look like, but I believe Jaquai will get justice. He cannot speak for himself now. So we have to stand as his voice. If you have already signed, please continue sharing his petition. If you haven’t signed, I ask you to take a moment to hear his story and consider adding your voice. I know this video may be difficult to watch. It is difficult for me to watch as his mother. But I’m sharing it because Jaquai deserves to be remembered, his story deserves to be heard, and his family deserves answers, accountability, and justice. 214 voices have already stood with Jaquai. Every voice matters. Every share matters. Every person who stands with him matters. Please continue to stand with my son. Stand with Jaquai. Stand as his voice. Demand accountability. Stand for justice. 💙 With a mother’s love, Kecia Hill
