Dear Petition Signers,
We are writing to you today with an important update from the Johnson family and Baby Faith's Journey, as we continue our unwavering pursuit of justice for our beloved Faith Johnson.
We are still pressing hard daily to get the results of the investigation into Faith's passing. The Frederick County Sheriff's Office and Child Protective Services are investigating the incident at Northwestern Regional Education Programs (NREP) where Faith's feeding tube became dislodged, and we are awaiting the autopsy results to determine her cause of death. We want to assure you that we are pushing for answers and will not rest until justice for Faith is achieved.
This past Friday, the Johnson family held the inaugural Baby Faith’s Journey Family Support Dinner, a truly heartfelt event dedicated to continuing Faith's legacy and supporting families caring for children with disabilities. It was a powerful gathering, fostering a sense of community and reminding parents that they are not alone in their journey.
The Winchester Gazette wrote a wonderful article about the dinner, highlighting the impact Faith continues to have as "the child who raised the village". We strongly encourage everyone to read it by clicking on the link below and sharing it widely with your friends and families:
In another beautiful testament to Faith's enduring spirit, the Johnson family has adopted two streets on Greenwood Road in Winchester, Virginia, in her honor. This is a tangible way to keep her memory alive and active within the community.
Many of you have asked how you can continue to help the Johnson family in their mission for justice and support. Every little bit truly counts, and there are several meaningful ways you can contribute:
- Donate to their nonprofit organization: You can support the vital work of Baby Faith’s Journey, which offers free resources and support to families caring for children with disabilities, by donating to their organization.
- Share the petition daily: Continue to share the petition on a daily basis to ensure it reaches as far and wide as possible, keeping Faith's story and the call for "Faith Marie's Law" in the public eye.
- Volunteer your time: Consider donating your time by coming out to the streets they’ve adopted on Greenwood Road and helping to beautify them on a regular basis.
- Advocate at school board meetings: Call and attend school board meetings and ask them why they still haven’t publicly announced support for Faith Marie’s Law.
Faith Johnson’s journey continues through the love and support of this community. Thank you for standing with us, for your unwavering compassion, and for helping us fight for the justice Faith Johnson deserves and the legacy she built.
