These are just a few of the headlines outlining the tragic story of Evan Seyfried, 40, a 19 year employee of Kroger in Milford, Ohio, who on March 9, 2021 took his life after enduring a six month onslaught of workplace bullying, harassment, stalking and mobbing by two store managers, Shannon Frazee and Joseph Pigg, both of whom are still employed with Kroger.  Evan’s family has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against this corporate behemoth, which is pending.

Evan became a whistleblower after reporting this abusive conduct multiple times to the company’s HR Department.  His complaints were ignored.  They failed to act, in turn, allowing the atrocious behavior to continue.

Evan was an impeccable employee with an exemplary record.  He was loved and trusted by co-workers and customers. Evan helped female employees report Joseph Pigg for sexual harassment, which was also ignored by Kroger and also lent to the retaliation through the harassment he suffered at the hands of Pigg and ally Frazee who conspired to make Evan’s life ‘a living hell’. Evan did not wage war against them as he was a peaceful warrior and trusted Kroger, the hometown grocery store he had been a loyal steadfast employee of since he was 21 years old. When Kroger did not protect him nor show any care in him as a person or an employee, after child pornography was sent to his cell phone and the gang stalking escalated, Evan (who had no prior history of mental illness) suffered an episodic break and took his life. Kroger nor UFCW 75 have reached out to the Seyfried family or taken any responsibility, nor have they acknowledged the need for changing what has become known as “Kroger’s toxic work culture”. Kroger, in its refusal to act, is allowing sexual harassers and bullies to remain in power in its stores and proving it cares only about profit, saving face, and has no regard for people, its employees, state or federal laws or doing the RIGHT thing.

SHAME ON KROGER!  We are holding Kroger fully accountable for their egregious actions and lack of follow through with their policies that are SUPPOSED to protect employees, not make them targets.  We demand Justice for Evan and ALL of Kroger’s associates nationwide who have endured workplace BULLYING and the TOXIC and HOSTILE work environment that Kroger has a well documented history of.  Employees are FED UP and it will no longer be tolerated.

We call on supporters to sign this petition and to also boycott Kroger until they take accountability for the death of Evan Seyfried.

Thank you!
