Trigger Warning: Violence, Racial Injustice

I’m calling for the immediate shutdown and deplatforming of Zeus Network.

Recently, a clip surfaced from one of their shows in which a Black woman, bruised and visibly battered, was mocked with the words:

“Aha, that’s why your face look like Emmett Till’s.”

Let that sink in.

Emmett Till was a 14-year-old Black child brutally lynched in 1955. His face became a symbol of racial injustice, galvanizing the Civil Rights Movement after his mother demanded an open casket to show the world what hate had done to her son.

For Zeus Network to air, edit, and profit from a line comparing a woman’s beaten face to Emmett Till’s isn’t just tasteless—it’s genocidal level disrespect. It is spiritual violence against our ancestors. It’s a slap in the face to Mamie Till. It’s not “entertainment”—it’s psychological warfare dressed in reality TV.

This isn’t the first time Zeus has crossed the line. Their entire platform is built on monetizing violence among Black women and men. They encourage trauma, degrade culture, and glamorize dysfunction for clicks.

It’s time to draw the line.

If we don’t say something, who will?

If we don’t shut this down, what are we enabling?

If we let this slide, we are telling every Black child watching that their pain is content.

An official apology to the Till family
A federal investigation into exploitative practices in reality TV
