Justice for Elvin Sejdinovic: Demand Maximum Penalty and Action from City/State Officials

Justice for Elvin Sejdinovic: Demand Maximum Penalty and Action from City/State Officials
The Issue
To: Governor Joe Lombardo, Mayor Shelley Berkley, and Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson
We, the undersigned residents of Las Vegas and concerned citizens across the state of Nevada and beyond, demand swift and firm action in the tragic killing of Elvin Sejdinovic, 22, who was senselessly and violently murdered by Keyun Watts, a prior felon.
What Happened:
On October 5th, 2024 Elvin Sejdinovic was shot and killed in an act of extreme violence. The alleged shooter, Keyun Watts, fired eight bullets at Elvin with the clear intent to kill. Elvin posed no threat and was unarmed. This was not a case of self-defense — this was an act of cold-blooded execution rooted in unchecked rage committed by Watts. Elvin was taken from his loved ones for absolutely no reason.
Case No. 24-CR-093096 https://lvjcpa.clarkcountynv.gov
See sources below:
Our Community Demands:
Maximum Penalty for Keyun Watts:
We call on the District Attorney to pursue the maximum sentence allowable under Nevada law. A life was stolen — and anything less than the harshest legal consequence sends a dangerous message that this kind of behavior can be tolerated.
See prior criminal felony history of Keyun Watts.
Case # 22-CR-007027-001
No Plea Deals or Leniency:
We demand full prosecution without plea bargains that would reduce charges or sentencing. This was a deliberate, violent act — and it must be treated with the full seriousness it deserves.
Public Safety Response from Elected Officials:
We ask Governor Lombardo, Mayor Berkley, and our city leaders to publicly condemn this act and outline what measures will be taken to address the growing epidemic of road rage in our community.
Statewide Legislative Action:
It’s time to implement stronger laws to prevent violence stemming from road rage incidents — including enhanced penalties for felony offenses, including homicide, and improved enforcement of existing laws.
Why This Matters:
Elvin was a son, a brother, a friend, a human being who deserved to live. He was denied that chance in a moment of avoidable violence. If we don’t speak up now, more families will be forced to mourn loved ones lost in similarly senseless ways.
We are not only demanding justice for Elvin — we are demanding change for the safety of every Nevadan on the road. Elvin’s life mattered. His death must not be in vain.
We, the Undersigned, Call for:
The maximum sentence for Keyun Watts with no plea deal.
A public commitment from our leaders to address gun violence.
Real action toward road rage prevention and justice reform.
Please do not allow this to happen to any other family. 1-10 YEARS IN PRSION IS NOT ENOUGH FOR COLD BLOOD MURDER! PUT KEYUN WATTS AWAY IN PRISON FOR LIFE.
Sign below to stand with Elvin’s family and demand justice.
