The ADA met with us and Mr. Howard's family on 04/19/2023. We continued to express grave concern about the single charge, and low bond amount, filed in this case. We were informed the new DA had previously reviewed the case and was standing firm on the single charge filed. Considering the current charge, the defendant may be eligible to be sentenced to a year in custody or may be eligible to receive a sentence of probation. We asked that the DA AGAIN review this case to determine if the charges should be amended. We are awaiting a decision.
