In the comment/details section, please provide the following information: I am submitting a documented safety concern regarding S.R. 163 approximately 0.3 miles west of the Lyford Y between Clinton and Lyford. I am concerned about the roadway geometry and roadside conditions at this location, including the lack of protective roadside barriers for vehicles that leave the roadway. A 17-year-old, Chase Bennett, was killed in a crash at this location on February 20, 2026. I am requesting that INDOT conduct a safety evaluation of this specific location and review whether additional safety measures, including a guardrail or other appropriate roadside protection, are warranted.
