For years, Chad Fry has maintained his innocence and continued fighting for the opportunity to have his claims fully heard. The District Attorney has now formally responded to Chad’s filings. The Commonwealth is asking the Court to dismiss the case without a hearing. However, documents uncovered during our review of the court record reveal a complicated appellate history involving concerns regarding counsel, intervention by the Superior Court, reinstatement of Chad’s direct appeal rights, and additional procedural issues that were never fully examined at a hearing. The immediate question before the Court is whether Chad will finally receive a meaningful opportunity to have these issues reviewed and whether the case will be allowed to move forward. We are continuing to organize court records, appellate filings, and supporting documents as we prepare for the next stage of this fight. This case is not over.
