Wednesday will be one year since my mother was killed and there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t cry because she suffered so much pain from people who were supposed to protect her. My mother was so giving and loving, she would send gifts for children over the holidays that she didn’t know. She was my daughter’s best friend. My 14yr old daughter’s life is forever changed now. She not only lost her Meme and best friend but witnessed pure evil in this world. How will she ever feel safe getting medical treatment when she watched multiple hospital staff kill her Meme right in front of her? The sadness of this loss has changed all of our lives forever. Sadly many people don’t care about the elderly but we will all be elderly at some point and we have rights that no one should take away from us as human beings. Please remember that life is incredibly fragile and we never know when that last moment will come so spread love and kindness and treasure every moment as if it were your last.
