Veterinarians report a surge in distressing requests for euthanasia, while others are seeing an overwhelming number of abandoned animals brought to their doors. Shelters and rescuers are stretched beyond their limits, trying to keep up with the rising tide of need.
This isn’t just a side effect of conflict, it’s a heartbreaking reminder that in times of crisis, the most vulnerable are often forgotten.
