In Norzagaray, Bulacan, a mother dog, nurturing two newborn puppies who are completely dependent on her milk for survival. was brutally stabbed by an unknown individual. She was not a threat. She was simply a mother trying to keep her babies alive.
Animal cruelty cases continue to rise, especially in Bulacan, and yet silence remains louder than action. How many more animals must suffer before this is taken seriously? Violence against animals is not just cruelty, it is a reflection of a society that chooses apathy over compassion.
The family of this dog is now seeking justice for their beloved pet. If no one is willing to help directly, then let the community raise its voice, loud enough to be heard by the deaf and blind government agencies that are supposed to protect the voiceless.
