Justice for Amy: help refer my Niece's case to - Office of Director of Public Prosecutions
The issue
My name is Anna, and I am the maternal aunt of Amy Wensley.
Ten years ago, we lost a beloved family member. In June 2014, Amy, a 24-year-old, vibrant, smiling, young mother of two beautiful little girls, was tragically taken away from us as she tried to escape a violent situation. The car was running, her daughters were strapped in the back seat but when she went back inside to get something, she never made it out.
Her death was quickly ruled a suicide. There was no proper police investigation and no justice. We've been fighting against this ruling for a decade and thanks to the podcast The Truth About Amy, new evidence has emerged proving she didn’t kill herself. Now, authorities finally admit it was a homicide. But Amy's killer still roams free today, moving around in society while Amy's voice is forever silenced.
We are now her voice. This tragic injustice has shaken us all to our core, leaving us questioning the system which was created to protect people like Amy. Like so many in her position, authorities failed her.
Our ask is simple. We desire justice for Amy. Her case needs to be referred to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions so it can be heard in Court. We implore everyone reading this: lend your voice to our cause. Stand with us in our quest for justice, in honouring our beloved Amy's life and ensuring her daughters can realise what really happened to her. Please sign this petition and demand justice for Amy.
