Since my daughter, Amanda P. Rodriguez, gave her statement about the sexual abuse she suffered as a child to the East Providence Police Department Detective Spremulli, there has been no communication or update on whether an investigation is even taking place.

It feels as though no crime was ever reported.

In Amanda’s most recent communication with the Providence Attorney General's office this past month, she inquired about any progress on the case. She was informed that there is no case on record concerning Edward Mace, and nothing in the system indicates that anything has been reported or that an investigation is ongoing.

Amanda and I believe this may be due to what appears to be a significant conflict of interest involving the East Providence Police Department, the Providence Attorney General's office, and Edward Mace.
