Most recently my daughter, Amanda P. Rodriguez, and I decided to setup a GoFundMe to finance the cost of obtaining an attorney and a therapist in order for Amanda to seek justice for the sexual abuse she suffered as a child.

Our decision was based on the inability to find an attorney to aid on a pro bono or contingency basis due to lack of funds. She also would need a private therapist— not someone assigned by the state.

After much consideration my daughter and I decided to dissolve the GoFundMe campaign. It has become apparent we would not be able to raise the amount of monies required to enable Amanda to have a fighting chance when bringing forth charges; and even, if by some miracle we were able to meet and exceed the dollar amount posted, this would not guarantee we would find an attorney willing to take on this case.

We would like to thank those individuals kind enough and brave enough to have made a donation and those who considered donating.

As of August 15th 2020, the amount raised was $80.00. These funds are being returned to the donors within 3-7 business days.

Amanda and I will never stop fighting for justice.
