Aleyna Bozkurt was a vibrant 24-year-old woman from the Netherlands who traveled to Izmir, Turkey in July 2024 to undergo cosmetic surgery at Private Egepol Hospital. Like thousands of others, she placed her trust in medical professionals. Tragically, Aleyna collapsed and died just two days after surgery — on her way out of the hospital.

Her family, heartbroken and devastated, immediately suspected gross medical negligence. They are not relying on suspicions alone — they have obtained concrete evidence that serious errors were made in her treatment and post-operative care. Despite this, the Turkish Ministry of Health has refused to authorize an official investigation into her death.

This is not just a personal tragedy — it is a national shame. A young woman died under the care of licensed professionals, and yet the system refuses to even investigate what went wrong.

We, the undersigned, demand:

That the Ministry of Health reverses its decision and allows justice to take its course
