Dalton Cason had cocaine in his system at the time of the crash and was only charged with a misdemeanor DUI — a charge far too minor for taking the life of a child. He should also be charged with vehicular manslaughter.

A 7-year-old child should never have to die while walking on a sidewalk — and no family should have to fight this hard just to see the person responsible held fully accountable.

We demand that Dalton Cason be charged with vehicular manslaughter in addition to DUI, that all evidence be fully reviewed, and that Ware and Pierce County take immediate, transparent action to bring this case to trial. Logan’s family deserves justice, and the community demands accountability.
