Dear signers,

A state-level protest by the 1158 Assistant Professor and Librarian Front, Punjab was held today, March 15, near the residence of Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains in Gambhirpur, despite continuous rain. A large number of affected candidates participated in the demonstration, blocking roads and causing significant traffic disruption to highlight their demand for securing the employment of 1,158 Assistant Professors and Librarians. At the same time, the protesters ensured that emergency vehicles were given clear passage, reflecting a strong sense of responsibility and respect for public safety.

Following the protest, the administration has assured that the matter will be taken up for discussion, and a meeting has been scheduled for March 20. The protesting candidates have expressed hope for a meaningful dialogue; however, they have also stated that if the meeting does not take place or is postponed for any reason, their agitation will intensify further.

We urge all supporters to continue standing with this cause and help strengthen the call for fairness, transparency, and justice for the affected educators.
