Earlier this week, Oklahoma’s attorney general requested an October 28 execution date for Julius Jones. 

This occurred despite Julius having a commutation hearing scheduled for September 13th to present the mounting evidence that proves his innocence.

It is truly shocking—and, quite frankly, outrageous and cruel—that the promise of a fair hearing, which former AG Mike Hunter agreed Julius has a right to, might now be short-circuited because of this rush to resume executions. 

So today, I need every single person who signed this petition to contact the Oklahoma Pardon & Parole Board and demand that they keep Julius’ September 13th commutation hearing. This fight has never been more urgent. Julius’ life is quite literally on the line and we need as many people as possible to make their voices heard.
