For over 20 years, Julius Jones has been on death row in Oklahoma for a crime another man has reportedly confessed to committing. But in one month, that could change.
On September 13th, Julius will have a commutation hearing in front of the Oklahoma Pardon & Parole Board. He’s exhausted all of his court appeals, so this really is his last shot at justice.
Over the next month, we need to do everything we can to help Julius get the freedom he deserves. So today, I’m asking you to contact the Pardon & Parole Board and tell them you support Julius’ fight for justice.
Look, when I started the Justice for Julius petition on Change.org, I never thought it would turn into a much larger movement. More than six million people have signed the petition and over 50,000 letters have been sent to the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board—all in an effort to free Julius.
But we can’t let up now. We have to keep this momentum going as we head into the final month of this fight.
Thanks, and more soon.
