A 3 year old Australian citizen urgently needs saving from female genital mutilation (FGM). She’s only a little girl - but her West African grandmother is insisting on cutting her genitals to adhere to a traumatic and outdated custom. FGM is illegal in Australia, classed rightfully as child abuse. Our government has a duty to save this little girl - she's an Australian citizen. Please Foreign Minister, we are calling on you to immediately repatriate young Fatoumata and her mother from Serra Leone to Australia for protection from this painful torture. Thank you.
