Build a statue for Asia Graham in JF Gregory Park

Build a statue for Asia Graham in JF Gregory Park
The Issue
This statue will impact the community by raising awareness to Military Sexual Assault.
Richmond Hill is a town know for being 90% military families. These military families are raising kids who may want to follow in there parents footsteps but should be aware of all the hardships being in the Army brings. This statue may also encourage the younger generation to join the Army and fight for a change amongst ranks and against sexual assault/harassment issues that occur on base.
A statue dedicated to Asia Graham will also show support for her family and the long battle they are trying to fight to bring justice against her rapist. Not only was she a resident of Richmond Hill for many years but she was a friend to many in the community and always tried to help out when she could. From showing her Wildcat Pride at football and basketball games she was also willing to join the Army and risk her life for the freedom & rights of the U.S. people. Her love went beyond just Richmond Hill, GA and impacted the lives of hundreds of people she met. JF Gregory park could be home to a statue that would shed light on an issue that is in need of change. A statue that many people will go pay their respects to, for a 19 year old that isn't able to fight anymore battles.
Info: Asia Graham was sexually assaulted in Dec. 2019. She reported it in Feb 2020 and was told to “stop talking about it” by her CO. In June 2020 she RE-reported her sexual assault and was later given a military protection order and mandatory therapy AFTER she was forced to move back onto base @ Fort Bliss. On Dec 27, 2020 she sent a letter to her mother stating “I’m ready to fight”. She had spoke to a lawyer and was gathering information to try to get justice for herself. But on Dec 31, 2020 she was found dead in her barracks. Her rapists Christian Alvarado has 6 charges. 1 for the rape of Asia and one for lying to Investigators in regard to Asia’s “allegations”. 2 charges are for the sexual assault of two different women, 1 for aggravated sexual assault (for strangulation), and 1 for lying to investigators for a second time. Her rapist was bonded out of jail for $1,000 and is back on base in the platoon.
Family and Friends: “She was beautiful with a contagious smile. She loved everyone she meet.”
“Every time I talk to my sister she preaches: go get your goals, what do you want to do with your life”
“She loved me so so so much and I loved her so so much”
“If you were loved by Asia, you experienced a special love”
“She was always an explain of what love is”
