As the new bill In NY makes it easier for expectant mothers to abort after 24 weeks, for reasons such as disabilities, financial reason, sickness, "health of the mother" (etc.) I've seen a lot of people bring up adoption as the best option instead of abortion. While I agree 100% no mother should feel like they have to abort when their baby deserves nothing but love and care, the adoption and foster care system is broken and flawed.It makes it nearly impossible for loving families to adopt a child that they want so badly.

Instead of our tax dollars going towards planned parenthood to fund the murder of these children, put our money to adoption agencies and foster care systems to help children in desperate need of it.

Just like planned parenthood, who uses tax dollars to fund abortions, use our tax dollars to help fund peoples adoptions. To help fund foster homes and, homestudys. The cost for adopting a child who only wants to be loved SHOULD NOT COST TENS OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS.

-After insurance, your own hospital bills from having a baby would be nothing compared to adoption fees. And at the end, birth mothers don't get anything afterwards.

-Every adoption requires some kind of "home study". To conduct the home study, at an average cost of $1,000 to $3,000. This fee may or may not be included in the overall agency fee.

-The range for an adoption agency adoption is from $5,000 to $40,000+, with almost 60% falling within $10,000 – $30,000, and the average being around $28,000. Some adoption agencies have a sliding fee scale where adoption costs are based on your income.

-The adoption cost averages for an independent adoption with an adoption lawyer are just slightly less than with an adoption agency, but that is likely because their numbers includes adoptions where the birth mother and adoptive family have found each other.

-These costs do not include failed adoptions which you do not get any of your money back for.

Its almost like they don't want you to adopt.  

If the government really cared about the well being of these children  (Foster children and all) they WILL lower the cost of (adoption fees, paperwork, legal fees, homestudy fees.. Etc.)
