THREATS TO REMOVE JUDGE WITCHER FOR EXPOSING DISCRIMINATION CAUSE NATIONAL OUTRAGE

Threats to remove Judge Witcher for his historic and courageous stance against discrimination and injustice have caused national outrage.  Assignment Judge Benjamin C. Telsey, appointed by the NJ Supreme Court, threatened to remove Judge Witcher from the bench after he went on record to expose a pattern of discrimination against Latinos.

Judge Witcher was the 1st African American Judge ever appointed to the bench in that region of the state and his stance for justice has reached national news. 

His exposure has sparked investigations and caused people, organizations, and politicians across the country to address the issues of discrimination in their court system and diversify the bench.

We encourage you to stand with us in support of Judge Witcher.

Threatening to remove him for exposing injustices is something we cannot accept.  He should be acknowledged not threatened with removal.
