Keep Pueblo High school a Magnet School!!
The Issue
NON PURPOSEFUL SEGREGATION CAN CAUSE US TO LOSE FUNDING???
64% Hispanic, 34% Caucasian and 2% African American
Due to NON PURPOSEFUL segregation Pueblo High School might lose $538,000 and convert back to a regular public school. Over a half a million dollars will be lost if Pueblo Magnet high school is downgraded from a magnet school back to a public school. How will it effect us you ask? How would you feel if you went into your English course when you were in school and your favorite teacher was laid off due to budget cuts, if your child went into class and there were forty students instead of twenty four. That can be funding for football gear, av equipment, books or even the landscape in and around our school. How did we get into this situation? We need to tell Willis D. Hawley (The Special Master) That we would like to keep Pueblo High school a Magnet School. We can only do it with your support. Your voice is very important to us. We need your help. With out your help the school loses $538,000 in funding... Thank you!
