This is where we are.....

Dear supporters,

Firstly, I want to thank each and every one of you for your support with our petition to stop granting extensions to the defense in the name of COVID.  

I'm writing to update all of you on the current status.  Unfortunately, we are still at a place where nothing can be done in terms of proceeding with the case in the court system, due to the current health crisis.  However, I can't stress enough that this has NOTHING to do with the extensions that are consistently granted to the defense, to provide required documents.  There was a virtual court date on September 14th, at which time, another extension was granted to October 16th. Needless to say, we, the family and friends of Jenny are outraged.  We don't understand how this can happen.  Why is the court system leaving us behind, literally fading Jenny's memory with each passing day?  Why is the defense being coddled?  

Please continue to sign this petition. Please continue to share this petition.  They want everyone to forget what happened to my daughter.  That's what they want, so they can have their so called, 'speedy trial' when the time comes. Does this really ensure justice, though?  I am angry that this is allowed.  I am angry that 2020 is coming to an end and we still haven't even gotten anywhere close to justice.  We haven't even chipped the tip of the iceberg in the criminal justice system.  We're just stuck in this place of limbo.  And it's great for the defense.  They can just continue dragging things out.  That's what they want.  This is what I call a travesty of justice, in fact.  It's just not right! My beautiful girl is not resting.  She fought for her life and now she's crying for justice from the grave, that is blocks away from the courthouse. 

We are crying and demanding for Justice for Jenny!
