Hello everyone,
In less than 24 hours, the CA water Commission is set to make a determination on whether or not to invest an approx. combined $65 million for several dam projects, including Del Puerto Reservoir. In spite of the need to pump more water from the already strained SF Bay Delta watershed to fill it, the fact that it would be put next to a community populated by many who oppose its impacts to a local recreation area, and that the water stored would not be the potable variety which so many communities need, the fact that it would help to maintain and encourage the expansion of large agribusinesses has won many supporters for it among political leaders and members of business organizations. Countering these levels of political and monetary support will require people power. For approximately 3 minutes (subject to change by the commission), members will have a chance to talke directly to commissioners.

If you feel passionate about or have insights on any of the places these projects will impact or are concerned about the effects of their drawing resources from CA's watersheds, tomorrow starting at 9:30am PST is an opportunity you won't want to miss!
Thank you all for your continuing support!
