Woolies and other retailers must be stopped from refusing to accept legal tender as payment for goods and services.

A supermarket should not be able to refuse Australian banknotes issued by the Reserve Bank of Australia and printed by the Royal Australian Mint. Cash from an ATM is clean, reliable and surcharge-free.

The RBA has identified 6 million Aussies who need and rely on cash. These people are being left behind. 

Scott Morrison's government has a bill before parliament to ban business cash transactions over $10,000. We need a corresponding legislated right to use cash for our every day needs - for all transactions under $10,000.
