If you already bought the console, game and wifi wouldn’t you think it would be ridiculous to have to pay to use the things you already paid for? I do too the purpose of this petition is to ban gaming companies from charging to play games online as this makes playing video games less accessible to those who are financially struggling especially single parents and college students, for example Ps plus (sony’s subscription players need to pay for to play online) at its least expensive price is 60 dollars a year (paid annually) so if a person were to pay to play online games for 10 years that would be $600 dollars however most people pay for the most expensive option thinking it’s cheaper which would be the $10 a month plan (paid monthly) this plan is equal to $120 a year this is a very high price to pay considering on older consoles (and on all modern computers, and phones) players didn’t have to pay to play online i believe this is why many people who are struggling financially don’t upgrade from these older consoles is due to the price of subscriptions to play online microsoft is a big company and not a small business, most of microsoft's money mostly comes from their tech branch and not their gaming branch, also microsoft has been successful even before releasing the first xbox microsoft clearly isn’t desperate for money and could still function without xbox live subscriptions, sony makes most of it’s money from it’s filming equipment as well as it’s televisions sony has been around for 76 years and does more than just make gaming consoles and services if they were to not charge for online play they wouldn’t go out of business as for nintendo they only charge $20 dollars a year for nintendo online (nintendo’s online play subscription) so they make the least money from online play subscriptions as we all know nintendo isn’t a small business and has a been around for years they own other companies they also make money from pokemon cards as well as nintendo game: toys, plushies, blankets, shirts and more it’s pretty safe to say without a doubt nintendo could still be ran without receiving money from nintendo online subscriptions therefore, i truly believe charging people to play games online is immoral, greedy and corrupt if you agree even just a little bit sign this petition to make a change for all gaming enthusiasts!
