This is just a short update to let all of you who have signed the petition to Save the Low Water Bridge that our cause has been broadcast by the local CBS and Fox affiliates. A well-known Joplin Globe columnist, Wally Kennedy, who supports our cause has made interviews with Joplin and Newton County officials, along with myself as of last Monday. This coming Sunday, his article may either be on the front page of the Joplin Globe, or in his column, so be sure to check-it out for some unpublished information. In the meantime, please let your friends know that we need more petition signings. Our goal is to have 5000 by June first, so please spread the word. Also, our website has been updated and includes commentary by our transportation engineer, Bill Cary, who has 38 years of experience, and supports the saving of the bridge!
