THANK YOU for joining the petition urging Japan to endorse the Safe Schools Declaration.

Five months since the campaign launch in April, we now have 12,066 people signing the petition from both within Japan and across the globe. We sincerely thank you for adding your names and helping to spread the word!

During the five months, we have achieved:

- Online press briefing in May to coincide with the SSD 10th Anniversary
- Lectures on SSD at schools & universities in Japan, as reported by Asahi Shimbun
- Meetings with the Japan Ministries of Foreign Affairs, of Education, and of Defence
- Launch of SSD Youth Team working on workshops & online communication
- Talk session event with Iran-born actor in Japan Sahel Rosa and UNIC Director Kaoru Nemoto in August, as reported by Kyoiku Shimbun, the Sustainable Brands Japan journal, and more
