Petition updateWorld leaders: Please act to save our lives in AleppoURGENT: Take action for civilians dying in Syria

Dr. Hamza Al KhatibAleppo, Syria
Dec 13, 2016
Dear friends,
I am writing on behalf of my fellow colleagues who have worked over these past months to provide life-saving aid in one of the most war torn parts of Syria. I write to you as the violence in east Aleppo reaches new heights of cruelty. Tens of thousands of us are now trapped in a sliver of opposition held territory in the city. We watch in horror as Syrian government and associated forces have begun a purge, detaining, and according to UN reports, summarily executing dozens of civilians.
Our fate is perilously uncertain. Having now witnessed the reception for non-combatants at the hands of government forces, we are afraid of what we should expect.
To those of you who continue to care the people of my city, and who have elevated the tireless efforts of many aid workers who remain here with me, I ask for your support once more. Indeed, your voices now needed now more than ever.
At 13:45 today there was an Emergency Debate in Parliament on the humanitarian catastrophe currently unfolding in Aleppo.
TAKE ACTION: At this critical moment, I ask that you contact your MP directly.

Please write to them now demanding that they call for the Foreign Secretary to set out an urgent plan to protect civilians in Eastern Aleppo, including pressing Syria and Russia to allow the 100,000 people trapped in eastern Aleppo to be safely evacuated.
Thank you for your continued support – show once more that we are not forgotten.
