Springbank School is located on a Waimate North Road which is a 100km/h posted speed zone.

This petition is to get the council to change the signage from “advisory” speeds to “enforceable” speeds so that vehicles cannot go faster than 50km/h during specified times within a 150m either side of the school enterance.

Making this change would make the road safer for all school traffic, given the increased number of vehicles (including large trucks) now using this road as a thoroughfare.
