The City of Kawartha Lakes is in the process of enacting a new bylaw that restricts where driving instructors, such as myself, can conduct instruction.  They are suggesting that between the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm we are not allowed to instruct in the area bordered by Angeline St on the West, Mary St on the South, Elgin St on the North and Logie St on the East. Basically, this allows us nowhere to teach turning left and right at lights, lane changes, driving in significant traffic and having to deal with pedestrians.  This proposed bylaw prevents us from teaching you the skills required for passing your road test with confidence as well as the skills required to survive on our busy roads.
