Train Homeless US Citizen Californians for Jobs - Repatriate them into society!

The Issue

( For a detailed description & FAQ watch video at https://youtu.be/7qm-3mGItsA )

Did you know ?

1. California *leads* the nation in number of homeless?

2. California has excellent state resources to help anyone including the homeless find well paying jobs via training & job search databases?

3. 45% of the homeless surveyed WANTED a job. Yet many homeless do NOT know about these resources?

Do you agree we should tweak the process of registering the homeless in shelters to give them the addresses of such training facilities when we register them? Of course you do!!

So please sign this petition ( it will take a moment )  #BabySteps #LowHangingFruit #Homeless #homelessness #homelesspeople #Jobs #homelesslivesmatter #California #HelpTheReadyWillingAble

Call for Action

Homeless individuals lead a very difficult and personally dangerous life on the streets. Help reduce the number of homeless in the state, restore their dignity, address some skills gap in the job market and help generate additional funds via the tax contributions of the formerly homeless.

We urge the Governor of California to not wait but to immediately

  1. Take necessary steps to implement job enablement and transition from homelessness to temporary jobs to permanent jobs, for individuals who have a GED or more , valid id and are addiction free and mentally able. Connect such individuals with organizations such as AJCCs ( e.g NOVAworks ) immediately.
  2. Review and use models employed by various California ( and out of state ) entities such as philanthropic foundations, local city programs, Grants etc. where applicable to supplement action 1.
  3. Publish a regular dashboard to show the progress towards job enablement in the state via key metrics such as total number of homeless at a given point in time, homeless persons who are ready to receive training , who are trained and job ready, previously trained and employed homeless persons returning to homelessness etc. These metrics will also help the state program pivot early and improve to achieve better results.
