By this Friday, we expect to hear an answer on whether an injunction on pipeline construction will be granted. This could be a big moment for us, and we want to make sure that the court knows loud and clear what we’re asking for. To honor this moment and await news, we will be hosting a Run for Peace on Friday. No matter what decision is made, we want to make it to be clear that the youth of Standing Rock and other indigenous allies are water protectors, not protesters. We don’t have pipe bombs, and contrary to what so many news stations are saying we are not here to create trouble. We just want clean water and a planet that we can all live on.
