We’ve been so overwhelmed by your messages of support – thank you all! For those of you who will be joining us on Saturday in D.C., we can’t wait to meet you. If you can’t be there know that we can still use your help to make this campaign as big as possible. We’re asking that our supporters post a photo to social media telling the world why YOU oppose the pipeline. Here are some simple instructions: 1. On a piece of paper, write out “I oppose #DAPL because…” and then fill in the blank. 2. Take a photo of yourself holding your sign. 3. Post the image to social media using the hashtag #RezpectOurWater. You can use the following caption if you like: “The Dakota Access Pipeline is set to carry oil across four states, crossing the Missouri River just a mile away from the Standing Rock Reservation. If it leaks, as all pipelines do, it will poison the tribe’s drinking water, and risk the health and safety of anyone near it. Join me and support the Native youth who ran from North Dakota to Washington D.C. to stop this dangerous pipeline – sign their petition here: Change.org/RezpectOurWater. If you are posting to Facebook and want more people to be able to see your photo, you can select to make it Public. We’ll be going through Facebook and Instagram to look for your messages of support. Thank you for spreading the word! Anna, Bobbi, and the Oceti Sakowin
